I want a monkey portrait of my family.

The question is, should I wait until the boys are a little older?

Or would it be really, really adorable to have wee little monkeys in our monkey portrait?

Poll #1182997 Monkeys: Little or bigger?

Should I get a monkey portrait now, or later?

I have this mug with a photo of little S. on it at 6 months. At the time, it was the best, most completely representative photo in the whole world, and showed both what she was, but also the baby she had been when teeny, and what she would be in the future. Now I look at that mug and think "what an adorable baby, who is that exactly?"

You're never going to be able to wait long enough for them to look like they're going to look forever, because they are changey little buggers. So if you want it, get it now, and enjoy it. I don't know how expensive it is, but if you still love it in 5 years, get another one then. Then you have the progression of your monkey family.

They are indeed changey little buggers.

Though #1 has remained remarkably like himself as he nearly always was. More so than #2, at any rate.

You're thinking of it now, you are obsessed with it now, so do it now. Game over . . .

I'm not 100% committed to my vote; I just wanted to pick something so that I could see the results. :)

P.S.
If you get the big painting, I want one of the postcards.

Me, too!

If I do, you may have one!

Even if I don't, I may order the postcards, anyway.
